The Young Marketers Club (YMC), Department of Marketing, University of Jaffna, recently kicked off their first-ever social initiative, showcasing the power of kindness and community. Rooted in the principle of “Share your kindness,” the initiative focused on collecting and donating clothes to the Tharmam-Centre Paranthan in Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka.
This heartwarming effort not only made a tangible difference in the lives of those in need but also reflected the club’s commitment to social responsibility and compassion. Through this collective action, the YMC team demonstrated the positive impact that students can have when they come together for a common cause.
In addition to the donation drive, the team had the opportunity to engage with the deaf community and gain valuable insights into their advocacy for sign language recognition in Sri Lanka. This experience emphasized the importance of inclusion, awareness, and support for all communities, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
We are incredibly proud of the YMC for their outstanding leadership, commitment, and drive to make a difference in the world. Their efforts truly embody the values of the Department of Marketing and the University of Jaffna.
Congratulations, YMC, for your remarkable initiative! We look forward to seeing you continue to shine and inspire change through future endeavors. 🌍✨
